Odyssey Update!

 In Odyssey of the Mind

Greetings, Odyssey!

Here is what we are working on this week:

  • The groups are now starting to rehearse their skits!

Parents, below is an email for the Odyssey of the Mind organization looking for volunteers for the tournament.  We have one general volunteer so far and need someone to volunteer as a judge so our teams are not charged the extra $50. If you are available and would like to participate, please use the links below to sign-up:

Your child’s Odyssey team needs volunteers for the upcoming competition in March.  Your child’s team will be charged $50 if they are unable to provide at least 2 volunteers for the upcoming regional competition on March 5th @ San Tan Charter School, Power Campus.

General Volunteers and score keepers are able to watch their child perform, please be sure to use your child’s information below when registering to ensure you are scheduled around your child’s performance.

Regional Volunteers Details:

  • We need volunteers to assist in judging or volunteering at the Odyssey of the Mind regional competition.  To help keep the costs of the competition down, the tournament runs on volunteers.  All teams are required to furnish at least 1 judge and 1 general volunteer per team, which means we need your help.
  • General volunteers are scheduled to assist with general duties such as sign in, concessions stands, and so forth.  Note: Odyssey is always in need of individuals who understand Microsoft Excel and can help enter team scores. : -)
  • General Volunteers are arranged so they can watch their child perform.
  • Judges are scheduled to assist in the judging process of creative presentations, which means an entertaining day watching children perform their projects (highly rewarding!).  The judge volunteer will need to attend a 4-hour training on Sat. Feb. 19, 2022 & be available to judge all day on March 5th @ San Tan Charter School.
  • If you are interested in assisting our team, please let me know you are registering and follow the following links to volunteer.
